About Us

Help is Our Main Goal

Our mission is to provides valuable services to the senior citizens, adults, and youth of the greater Rochdale Village community.

The Senior Citizens Center is committed to providing a safe nurturing environment for seniors 60 years of older. Nutritious lunch, health & wellness, physical fitness classes, educational seminars, recreation, socialization, and transportation are provided to seniors on a daily basis. These services are provided to stimulate, promote, and enhance independence to the community’s aging population.

The Naturally Occurring Retirement Community’s mission is to provide supportive services and activities to both active and frail seniors of the community which enables and enhances their ability to remain in their home environment with supporting services, i.e., case management, case assistance, counseling, healthcare management, as well as advocacy and referrals to the appropriate agencies.

The Youth Education Programs are ongoing efforts to provide after-school youth education programming. This includes leadership training and educationally and culturally rewarding trips for youth. Since 2016 some of those programs have included academic tutoring, software development & technology training, workshops at Microsoft's Flagship Fifth Avenue store, and stipend money for college interns.

The Youth Council is seeking, in 2022, to resume its role of mentoring young Rochdale residents between 8 and 18 years of age, and promoting programs that stimulate, promote and assist in the development of youth activities and leadership training. The program's goal is to encourage young people to exchange ideas, information and experiences.
